Just started reading Timothy Ferriss’ The 4-Hour Work Week, a book about “Lifestyle Design”, and came across the above quote by former Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli.
It’s an interesting read. Although I feel that I already have that mindset described in the book, and I’m already doing many of the things, there are some wonderful insights in the book that make me nod in agreement. For example, “Less is not Laziness”, which is music to my ears. “Doing less meaningless work, so that you can focus on things of greater importance is NOT laziness. This is hard for most to accept, because our culture tends to reward personal sacrifice instead of personal productivity”. “Focus on being productive instead of being busy”.
I enjoy reading the book because I share the same attitude with the author. However, I hope people who don’t think like that would read it and understand this (more effective) mindset more.
